GST promoted Cashless Economy

Says, R.Senthil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Amritha School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, CoimbatoreRecently, The Department of Commerce with Corporate Secretaryship and Information Technology of VLB Janakiammal College of Arts And Science, Coimbatore conducted a day’s National Level Seminar on the topic ‘Impact of Demonetization and GST on Indian Economy’.

The gathering was welcomed by N.SuryaKumar, Chairman and Managing Trustee, VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science. The Presidential Address was delivered by K.Shunmugasundarm, Principal. The Chief Guest on the occasion was R.Senthil Kumar, Assistant Professor, (Senior Grade) Amritha School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. The Chief Guest in his speech narrated about GST and emphasized on the taxation scheme. He also spoke about demonetization and how it paved a way to bring cash less economy, and curb corruption. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by S.Manivarma, Assistant Professor, Department of BCOM (CS&IT)

R.Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Management, Government Arts College, Coimbatore acted as the Chair Person for the Technical Session I and P. Rajini, Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of Research, School of Commerce, RVS College Arts & Science, Sulur Coimbatore acted as the Chair Person for Technical Session II.Post the Technical Sessions, the Valedictory Session was held. The Guest of Honour, Sathish R. Charted Accountant, Vice Chairman, ICSI, Coimbatore Chapter, presented the Valedictory Address with a delightful speech on current scenario with demonetization and Goods and service Tax.
