Department of Biotechnology of Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College, under the DBT STAR College Scheme conducted an Exhibition on “Medicinal Plants”.
Dr. V. Rajendran, Principal, presided over the event in the presence of Dr. S. Balasubramaniam, Dean –R&D, Dr. Meera Raman Dean- Biosciences, Dr. S.S. Sudha, DBT – Star College Co-ordinator and Dr. P. Chidambararajan, Professor & Head, Department of Biotechnology and Dr. M. Shanmugavadivu, Associate Professor.
More than 200 species of medicinal plants were exhibited to portray their medicinal importance. As many as 450 students from the participating departments of Microbiology, Biochemistry and Food Science & Nutrition visited the exhibition and gained knowledge on medicinal plants and their importance.
