PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research inaugurated the 9th batch of first-year students’ orientation program for the academic year 2022-23.
Dr G Chandramohan, Principal, PSG iTech presided over the event welcoming the freshers and their parents for being part of the institution. He encouraged the students to explore more and benefit from the available opportunities throughout their academic careers.
Meanwhile, Dr Chandramohan felicitated the guest Ravi Sivalingam and Dr PV Mohanram received the memento on behalf of Ramachandran.
Chief Guest K Ramachandran, Head- Strategy, Macro Initiatives & Foresights, 361 Degree Minds, Chennai virtually connected with the audience. While addressing the students he emphasized 4 significant factors being independent, being self-aware, connecting abilities with the world and maintaining a balance with everything in life.
“Maximum learning happens during higher education and each of you must be fast in it”, he added.
Followed by this, guest of honour Ravi Sivalingam, Global Vice President & Head of Microsoft Cloud Business Delivery, Cognizant Technology Solutions addressed the students. Highlighting on three aspects of change, learning and excellence, he encouraged students to commit to being excellent and achieve more by making the best out of the available opportunities during the academic journey.
Adding on Dr P V Mohanram, Secretary thoughtfully approached the gathered minds. He stressed the point that each of them should emerge out of their comfort zone to endeavour a success. “Every failure is an opportunity to learn and never give up but seek solutions for the occurring problems”, he added.
