The Department of Civil Engineering, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore inaugurated a new PG degree programme on M.E. Structural Engineering. Dr. G. Chandramohan, Principal presided over the function and Dr. P. V. Mohanram, Secretary, felicitated the gathering.
Chief guest Dr. L. S. Jayagopal, Managing Director, Mithran Structures, Coimbatore, explained the importance of Mathematics in Structural Engineering in a real-time structure. Dr. M. I. Abdul Aleem, Professor and Head of the department and Dr. M. Arun, M.E. – Structural Engineering programme coordinator.
Followed by the inauguration, the students will be provided with a two-day workshop including a site visit for checking the quantity of reinforcement in a slab of an educational building at Ettimadai, Coimbatore.
