‘ALERTATHON 2022’ -first aid & emergency response awareness

The First Edition of “ALERTATHON 2022,” the world’s only endurance event to save lives was held in Coimbatore on Sunday. The event was organised by ALERT, a non-profit organisation in collaboration with Coimbatore District administration, CODISSIA and PSG Hospitals.

Dr J S Bhuvaneshwaran, Director, PSG Hospitals flagged off the 25km and 50km cycling event and 5 km, 10 km, and a 2.5 km x 4- a chain of the survival team at CODISSIA ground in the presence of Thirugnanam, President of CODISSIA, Sashi Kumar, Secretary, CODISSIA, Ramesh Babu, former President, CODISSIA and Veerappan, Trustee, Alert.

ALERTATHON 2022 aimed to create awareness of the need for first aid and emergency response. Volunteers from the PSGCAS Chapter of alert Golden Army and Global Voice ambassadors supported the Walk, Run, and Ride.

Dr J S Bhuvaneshwaran, Director, PSG Hospitals and Thirugnanam, President of CODISSIA felicitated the top finishers of the event.

The event was sponsored by BahwanCyberTek. The cause was supported by Propel, Sandfits, Information Evolution, Messers Cutting, Aqua Sub, PSR Silks as Kovai Safety Ambassadors.

Commenting on the Partnership with ALERT NGO for ALERTATHON 2022 in Coimbatore, Dr G. S. Sameeran, IAS, District Collector, Coimbatore said, “The Coimbatore District administration is delighted to collaborate with ALERT NGO for ALERTATHON 2022, to raise awareness of first aid and road safety.
