PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PSGIMS&R), Coimbatore conducted its Annual Day program. Every year PSGIMS&R celebrates Annual day and Sports Day on September 30th, acknowledging the establishment of the institute in 1985 by the then Tamil Nadu CM, M.G.Ramachandran.
L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions awarded winners and presented the championship trophies for both individual and team players under various categories of sports and cultural activities. Meanwhile, Sports Secretaries and Cultural Secretaries, PSGIMS&R Student’s Council presented a brief report on the activities carried out for the academic year.
Dr. T. M. SubbaRao, Principal presided over the event welcoming the gathering, wherein he mentioned the enthusiastic participation of the students.
Following this, L. Gopalakrishnan addressed the gathering motivating them to indulge more in extracurricular activities. These activities are not just part of the syllabus but help in developing a stronger personality apart from academics. He specified the availability of advanced sports stadium and that the management is much involved in bringing more such infrastructures for the students to benefit at the maximum.
