TiE organizes one day conference on SMEs

The Delhi-NCR and Coimbatore chapters of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) organized one day conference on SMEs – Building in India for the World in partnership with IndiaMART & Lufthansa Group.

About 8 speakers addressed the Innovative Financing Options for SMEs, New growth opportunities in the post-Covid world, Opportunity Generation & Early Business Development, The Secrets of Networking Superstars, & more.

Somasundaram Arumugam, the President of TiE Coimbatore said, “The idea behind this conference is to make all of us become SMART.” Smart, according to him, stands for Specific Goals, Measurable endeavours, Achievable & Reachable targets and Time-bound actions.

Speaking about the conference, G.Karthikeyan, Former President of TiE Coimbatore and Founder, GKM Global Services said, “This event is designed in such a way to improve the potential of SMEs. Today, there are platforms to facilitate financing, like TReDs (Trade Receivables Discounting System), RXIL (Receivables Exchange of India), Invoicemart etc, that can support SMEs businesses. Government schemes like Collateral free Working Capital Loans beside Incentives are available for eligible organizations which can help SMEs to move ahead.”

Pradeep Yuvraj, Secretary, TiE addressed the SMEs to embrace technology, give importance to the designs of their products and foster innovation. He also wanted them to think like a startup, especially when it comes to managing funds and see if they can solve global needs with their products and solutions.
