CII Coimbatore chapter launched the exclusive initiative ‘Coimbatore NXT’ for the growth of the city on global terms and to meet up international standards in all sectors.
Coimbatore being the major contributor, this initiative aids in achieving the vision of the $1 trillion GDP for Tamil Nadu.

Acknowledging this, Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Past President, CII Southern Region & CMD, Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd., is part of the initiative’s steering committee.
Kezevino Aram, President, Shanti Ashram, presented a brief run through the statistical view on the growth of India. Focusing more on Children, the stability of growth depends on the age group of 0-6 years.
Ravi Sam, Past Chairman, Tamil Nadu State Council & Managing Director, Adwaith Lakshmi Industries Pvt Ltd. in his welcome note praised the salient features of Coimbatore city.
Shankar Vanavarayar, Vice Chairman, CII Tamil Nadu State Council & Executive Director, ABT Industries. briefed the audience on the historic run of the city. Nilgiris is a biodiversity hub the pride and the survival instinct of human capital.
Arjun Prakash, Past President, CII, shared insights on the vibrant industrial ecosystem in Coimbatore in major sectors of industry. Emphasized more the survey reports that revealed the strengths and weaknesses of the city.
Prashanth Subramanian, Chairman, CII Coimbatore Zone emphasized the concept of bridging the gap between the higher potential and the current achievements. Alongside presenting the features of the tier 2 cities in comparison to Coimbatore’s growth and the existential potential for development. He proposed the vision of the ‘Coimbatore Nxt’.
