Maruthi to Hike Prices

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki on Thursday announced hike in price across models. The reason for price change is hike in commodity and distribution costs, adverse foreign exchange rates. The hike is expected to be around 6,100 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) and comes into effect immediately.

While Maruti Suzuki’s Popular models are 98 per cent localized, its original equipment manufacturers import some of the raw materials and adverse currency impact would pass on to the company.
