PSG Institute of Technology celebrates the 75th Independence

PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research celebrated the 75th Independence Day. The flag hoisting was presided by the chief guest, Col V.R.Villavankothai (Veteran), Retired Army Officer, PSG Tech Alumnus. Delivering the Independence Day address, a detailed note on the history of the Indian freedom struggle along with the sacrifices of the Martyrs were explained. Quoting the voting rights for men and women, illiteracy rate, various wars, and technological prowess in various fields, he highlighted the Indian developments over the past 7 decades.

Earlier, Dr G.Chandramohan, Principal, in his welcome address detailed the various activities conducted in connection with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Dr P.V.Mohanram, Secretary, Ar K Venkatesh Kumar, Principal, PSG IAP and Dr P.Vetrivelan, Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of ECE were part of the event.

Prizes were distributed for the winners of the events which were followed by a special tree-plantation drive in observance of the 75th Independence, organized by the students of the eco-club.
