The Department of Biotechnology of Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Limited (AVP), Kanjikode, Kerala. The MoU was signed by C. A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director, KASC and A. Sindhu, Head – Technical & R&D in the presence of Sangitha Varier, Director, AVP Limited, Kanjikode, Kerala. S R Madhan Shankar, Dean-Academics, K Murugesan, Controller of Examinations, KASC and R. Sathish Kumar, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology, KASC were present. The MoU facilitates the production of in vitro raised secondary hardened plantlets from the medicinal plants supplied by AVP. The produced plantlets by the Department of Biotechnology, KASC shall be supplied to AVP as they require. The activities under the MoU shall be coordinated by M Gogul Ramnath Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.
