Avinashalingam Institute & Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare association collaborate

Avinashalingam Institute for Home Science and Higher education for Women, Coimbatore, signs a 3-year MoU with The Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare association, Kotagiri.

The MOU provides opportunities for

  • Collaborative research projects specifically for the welfare of the Tribal populations in the areas of Diabetes, Hypertension and Cancer through National and International funding agencies.
  • Joint organization of short-term training and workshops in continuous health education and awareness campaigns.
  • Joint execution of effective outreach of Science and Technology leading to the good livelihood of Tribal and rural population.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Chancellor Prof. S.P. Thyagarajan, by Dr V Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor, and M. Alwas, Secretary and CEO of Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare Association.
