
Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC) organized a photo exhibition on Friday, in regard to the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Photographs and footnotes of more than 75 unsung heroes of the freedom fighters were displayed in the exhibition. Around 250 Students from various schools visited the Photo Exhibition. Velmurugan, Assistant Professor of Zoology, Vigneshwaran, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, R. Manimegalai, Assistant Professor of Tamil and Mounesh, Indian Army also an alumnus of the college were part of this event.
While presenting the inaugural address, Maheswari, Principal, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ajjanur, Coimbatore, stated that these activities set an example for ‘Man Making Education’ insisted by Swami Vivekananda.
Lekeshmanaswamy, Principal, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, in his presidential address stated that the heroes of the freedom struggle have to be remembered forever and it is the need of the hour to educate the students about our ancient leaders which in turn helps them to become socially responsible citizens of the country.
S.R. Madhan Shankar, Dean (Academics), Kongunadu Arts and Science College, in his felicitation advised the students to acquire problem-solving skills. In addition, stated that it is the sole duty of every individual to be aware of the rich history and culture and cherish our monuments that are irreplaceable, still unshakable as our Dharma.
