“Justice Delivered”- Al-Qaeda Chief Killed

The most wanted international terrorist, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Al-Qaeda chief, was killed in a US drone attack in Kabul, Afghanistan on Sunday.

The US president, Joe Biden, officially declared the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri by the CIA drone strike. While addressing the press, he said, “End to his trail of murder and violence against American citizens….Justice delivered”. He was one of the ‘Masterminds’ and was intensely involved in planning the September 11 attack, killing 3000 residents.

Reportedly no civilian causalities have occurred except for the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri. The execution was carried out after the seal of approval by US president Joe Biden on July 25. The US stroke him with two Hellfire missiles on July 31 at his residence.

Following the attack, the Taliban spokesperson Zabiulla Mujahid took to Twitter condemning the strike of the US as an act of violation of international principles.

He tweeted, “The security and intelligence agencies of the Islamic Emirate investigated the incident and found that the attack was carried out by American drones. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns this attack on any pretext and calls it a clear violation of international principles and the Doha Agreement.”
