TNAU conducts ‘HORTI UTSAV 2022’

The Horticultural College and Research Institute of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University organized “HORTI UTSAV 2022” on Saturday. Participants from Periyakulam, Trichy, Jeenur, Kalavai and Sempatti Horticultural Colleges affiliated with TNAU participated in the event.

V Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor of TNAU, Coimbatore, carried the inaugural along with the other dignitaries Dean (Agriculture), the Dean (Centre for Students Welfare) Nodal officer (HC&RI, Jeenur) and the Controller of Examinations of the University.

The participants manifested their excellence and talents through their participation in the various inter-college competitions like quiz, fruit and vegetable carving, handscaping, fire-less cooking, singing, dancing, poetry, valluvam, pic to poem, win over the word, tint your thoughts, who am I, brushless painting, flower arrangement and mobile photography. The onstage event included turncoat, classical solo dance, instrumental music and other cultural events. A scientific exhibition based on various Horticultural concepts was also organized by the students.

V.J. Chandran, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Puducherry, also an alumnus of the HC & RI, TNAU, Coimbatore, awarded the winners during the valediction.
