Pop Up Library boosts CBF audience

The city readers are amplified with the Coimbatore Book Festival (CBF) season.  An add-on benefit comes with the Codissia and Young Indian collaborative set up of a Pop Up Library at the atrium of The Brookfield’s Mall, Coimbatore. District Collector G S Sameeran I.A.S. inaugurated the library on Friday evening.

It is an initiative to elevate the importance of book reading and emphasise the significant role of books in our daily lives. More than 300 books of different genres are displayed, including children’s books, fiction and reference books. Omni Books, India’s largest private lending library located in Coimbatore, facilitated the books for this display.

The Pop Up Library is open to visitors from Friday to Sunday, along with the events like talks by members from Rotary, a Storytelling session by Story Island and talks on Child Safety by the Masoom team of Yi, Coimbatore.
