PSG College of Pharmacy conduct ICAAPS programme

PSG College of Pharmacy organized a two-day National Conference on Automation, IT and advancements in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Around 750 delegates, including 21 speakers from industry, academia and clinicians are part of the conference. The conference gains more significance by its sponsors’ the Government of India, DST, DBT, CSIR and DRDO.

Ramanathan, the Principal of PSG College of Pharmacy, stated that the conference focused on the essential developments achieved in the field of Pharmaceutical Science. Especially with the growing demand for vaccines and medicines post Covid-19, has created change in anti-body production and manufacturing. The need for a better understating among the students regarding this change will create a more efficient calibre, providing more employment opportunities.

Venkateswaran, Assistant Divisional Manage of Aurolab, Aravind Eye Care System, Madurai, inaugurated the conference and followed by the guest address by Jayakar, Executive Member, Pharmacy Council of India and Registrar, Vinayaka Mission Research Foundation, Salem.

“We have included the artificial intelligence and Information technology, which has gained pace, thereby creating an opportunity for people in this field”, he said.
