According to the latest release, the Meteorology department predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in the Western Ghats and adjacent regions for the next three consecutive days.
Fishermen are advised not to enter the zones over the west central and southwest Arabian Sea, with strong winds speeding up to 65 kilometres per hour.
Few parts of Tamil Nadu are said to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall and few parts receive heavy rainfall with thunder and lighting, and the coastal regions with heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds.
