The ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka has gained international attention. Lately, the invasion of the Presidential house by the protesters created a massive outbreak in the country. It was reported that Gotabaya tried to flee from the country, following the same US denied his visa.
Gotabaya holds dual citizenship in Sri Lanka and US. Local sources reported that Gotabaya made consecutive attempts to flee the country after the protest. Following the same, Gotabaya promised to resign from his President reign.
Amidst various rumours about his whereabouts, the Colombo officials have revealed Gotabaya’s retention is Sri Lanks following the denial of his visa request from the US.
Lately, sources reported that Gotabaya’s bother and Lanka’s ex-finance minister also made attempts to flee but were detained by the immigration officers following a denial to approve his papers.
