‘World Population Day’ is celebrated every year on the 11th of July. This year too the event was celebrated by the Social Science Club of the school. Secretary of the school, Dr. Sashi Kumaar Samraj presided over the function and Naveen Raju of Grade VIII welcomed the gathering.
A debate on ‘Advantages and Disadvantages of Population’ was conducted for classes VII to X. Students of four Houses – Agni, Brahmos, Prithivi and Trishul participated.
Social Science Club Co-ordinator Maheswari acted as the judge. An audio visual presentation on the Statistics of Population of World, India, Tamilnadu state and Coimbatore city was shown.
The Vote of Thanks was presided over by Shanley S.Pappu of Grade VIII.
