PSG announces collaboration to develop adv. wound care products

PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and PSG Hospitals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday with Pollachi based Biotech startup Ardor Biomed India Pvt Ltd for the joint research and technology support for the Development of Cellulose-based advanced wound care products using coconut waste water as a raw material.

The MoU was signed by Dr. TM Subbarao, Principal, Dr. Sudha Ramalingam, Director, Research and Innovation, PSGIMS&R, and K. Vivekanand, CEO and Dr SP Suriyaraj, CTO on behalf of Ardor Biomed India Pvt Ltd, Pollachi.

The MoU covers research collaboration in the development of advanced wound care products for the diabetic foot and burn wound applications.  PSGIMS&R will support Ardor Biomed in providing infrastructure facilities for preclinical studies, extend technical support for animal experiments and histopathology and guide in obtaining regulatory approvals.
