Opposing the ongoing war, Andrey Rublev wrote ‘No War Please’ on a TV camera after advancing to the final at the Dubai Championships.
A day before Friday’s match, Rublev stressed the importance of “peace in the world and to respect each other no matter what, to be united,” according to The Associated Press.
“We should take care of our Earth and of each other,” the 24-year-old tennis pro said. “This is the most important thing.”
