Coimbatore Vizha’s Art Street
Art Street (also called as ‘ஓவிய சந்தை’) is an integral & perennial part of Coimbatore Vizha, where artworks of diverse nature is kept for Coimbatoreans’ viewing pleasure.
The event has become a platform for artists of Covai to present their artworks under a given theme. It also features art workshops for kids and adults at the venue, making it dashing and colorful.
Held at Race Course for two-days, it draws more than 30,000 visitors to the venue, and has seen nine editions. The upcoming edition of Art Street has been scheduled to be held on 8th and 9th of January, 2022.
“We have planned a variety of art installations along the path and 60 artists have registered to be a part of Art Street this year! We have workshops both virtual and in-person that will cater to people of all ages,” a press release from the organizers said.
“This year, we also have a guided painting workshop called Art Party that is being organized at the Brookfields Atrium on the 2nd Jan, 2022. Art Party is an event designed to promote art as a mode of relaxing and fun at the same time,” the press release added.
