The Coimbatore District level Tennis ball Cricket Tournament was organized by Tamilnadu Tennis ball Cricket Association for Under-19 boys to select Coimbatore District Tennis ball cricket team for the State level championshipat Dr. PGV Matric Higher Secondary Residential Coeducational School between 10-13th May.
A total of 27 teams participated in the Under- 19 Category from various parts of the district. PSG CAS XI, FIRE ELEVENS, GPNCC and KOVAI KINGS qualified for the Semi- finalstages.
The finals was fought between GPNCC, Ediyarpalayam beat PSG CAS XI by 12 runs.
The gathering was welcomed by Secretary of Dr. PGV Matric Higher Secondary Residential Co-educational School while Physical director Manoj delivered ‘Vote of Thanks’
The Chief Guest on the occasion was S.Suresh Kumar, Joint Secretary and The Selection Committee member of the Coimbatore District Cricket Association Kumar congratulating the players said, “Players should develop high degree of Physical fitness and stick tobasics for constant improvement”. Dr. Muthulakshmi Viswanathan, Correspondent Dr. PGV Matric Higher Secondary Residential Coeducational School presided over the function and said, “Players should have well disciplined life for better sporting career andthey should be ready to sacrifice their personal wishes to shine as a sports man”.
