Trigger acquires licence to market ‘Lucky’ in India

One of India’s leading apparel brands, Trigger announced on Saturday that it has obtained the licence to market Lucky label in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Nepal.

This came after a joint-venture with ABG Group, US was made by Trigger Apparels Limited. The agreement was signed by K.G.Balakrishnan, Chairman and Sriramalu, MD, Trigger Apparels Ltd with the representatives of Lucky Brand.  By this agreement, Trigger will solely control the distribution and manufacturing of this brand in the said countries.

A press release also said Trigger India will become the licensor and will get the rights to appoint sub operators for the brand in the Indian market. Products from the category of Denim Apparels, Sports Wear, Active Wear, Women’s Intimate Products, Undergarments, Sleep Wear, head Wear, Hosiery, SLG’s, Carrying bags, Hand bags, Footwear’s for UNISEX at all age groups.

According to Rajagopalan, CEO, Trigger Apparels Limited this acquisition boosts the value of the company’s portfolio to more than $13 billion in Indian retail market annually. “Lucky Brand’s DNA resonates strongly with today’s youth, and we see tremendous opportunity to unlock its value in key territories around the India. We are ready to hit the ground running and expand quickly into new categories and markets.”
