Master Mithun Pranav, Std 2 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus has clinched the second position with a score 9.5 out of 11 in the India 2021 National Under-08 Open Online Chess Championship representing Tamilnadu, held recently.
This spectacular win places him now to represent India in the Western Asia Youth Online Chess Championship organised by Srilankan Chess foundation that is slated for next weekend. The tournament was organised by All India Chess Federation which saw the participation of over 400 chess champs from across India. The 11 round game was using a time control of 15 mins plus 5 seconds increment.
