Dr.Ragupathy Veluswamy, Chief Executive Officer, GKNM Hospital was recently given ‘100 Most Impactful Healthcare Leaders Award’
A hospital that has a long heritage and won the trust of the people of Kongu region with patient care as its sole motto is none other than G Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital (GKNMH). Being the administrator of the noble hospital Dr.RagupathyVeluswamy, the CEO has added another feather in his cap by winning ‘100 Most Impactful Healthcare Leaders Award’ by World Health & Wellness, Congress & Awards.
With more than 40 years of experience in clinical pediatric practice, Dr.Ragupathy becomes the first personality in Coimbatore region to receive this award. He was selected from among the Global Leaders of Healthcare Industry in 133 countries.
The CEO feels humble on receiving the award, noting that he wants to do more to society. “While getting the award, I had only these thoughts occupying my mind:‘I served in America for 40 years, now I have comeback to my homeland where people are knowledgeable in several areas but still lacking in healthcare knowledge. ’So, I am going to do everything I can to enhance healthcare services for them,” said Dr.Ragupathy Veluswamy.
GKNM being a multi-specialtyhospital, especially known for its Cancer and Cardiac Treatments, has plans to provide a lot more newer facilities in various departments. “The hospital is already under expansion to add more inpatient beds and a new outpatient diagnostic center that will reduce the long waiting hours and provide quality care at the appropriate time.” says the CEO.
We have to move away from acute care to preventive care and chronic disease management. GKNM has plans to establish a holistic medicine center in the next two years. “Since the preference of indigenous medicine is on the rise, we are planning to establish an Integrated Medicine Center that will incorporate Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Siddha and all branches of medicines added to it,” he said.
The aim of the hospital is provide best quality treatment at an affordable price.
