SRIOR’s Chatbot comes loaded with awareness about tobacco’s ill effects

In connection with World No Tobacco Day, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Oncology and Research (SRIOR) introduced a digital awareness platform to create maximum awareness about ill-effects of tobacco-based products amongst the tech Savvy youth and adults.

“We at SRIOR have designed a WhatsApp Bot which is an AI (artificial intelligence) driven platform through which people can get the maximum awareness about not only Tobacco and related cancers but also covid 19 / its complications in English & Tamil.”

“All this may seem complicated but the operation is pretty simple. All one needs to do is just save the number +916364578269 and through WhatsApp send a ‘Hi’ message, the bot will start to communicate with you. Starting from the language selection then the disease selection the bot will take you through a series of awareness videos and facts”, says Dr P Guhan, Director SRIOR.

This interactive BOT was launched to the public use in a private launch event on the world no Tobacco day May 31st 2021 at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital premises by the managing trustee D.Lakshminarayaswamy presided by Dean Dr. Sukumaran, Dr.P.Guhan Director SRIOR, and staff members.
