Nehru Group of Institutions (NGI) in its 50th year of service to the society in the field education has been awarding the teaching profession every year in the memory of Late P. K. Das, Founder Chairman, Nehru Group of Institutions with the objective of raising the prestige of teachers and giving public recognition to their meritorious service to the society.
The Best Teacher Award’ 2018 (Exclusively for Principal, Head Master, Head Mistress and Academic Excellence Teacher) was recently organized by Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET).
This year this by expanding the category, covering Principal, Head Master, Head Mistress and Academic Excellence Teacher, the Best Teacher Award was presented to 58 awardees including 2 Life Achievement Awards in it.
Dr. N. Ayyadurai, Senior Scientist, Department of Biotechnology, CSIR- Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai was the Chief Guest and Dr. M. Rajendran, Rtd. Joint Director, Tamil Development Department, Govt., of Tamil Nadu was the Guest of Honor.
The award ceremony began with welcome address by Dr. P. Maniiarasan, Principal, NIET. The Life Time Achievement Awards was presented to Krishnaveni. N, Panchayat Union Middle School, Muthur, Erode and Dr. Unnikrishnan, T. K. Sree Golkulam Public School, Pazhuvil, Thriprayar, Thrissur, according to a release.
