5th Regional Competition of ‘KOLOR CHAMP 2018’ held

More than 350 Children from Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Trichy and Kangeyam participate

 Globalart (a unit of SIP Academy India) organized the 5th Regional Competition ‘KOLOR CHAMP 2018’in the city here today. About 350 children in the age group between 5 to 15 years from Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Trichy and Kangeyam participated in the event. This event was inaugurated by Kavitha Nandakumar, Founder Trustee VIVIDH International Residential School.

Speaking on the occasion, Kavitha Nandakumar she said, “Young children participating with great enthusiasm in such large numbers deserve fulsome praise. To me, this competition is not just about art but an occasion to showcase their unique ideas. It is this freedom and encouragement to think ‘out-of-the-box’ that helps children to grow with more confidence and self-esteem which in turn helps them succeed in diverse fields,” She said.

“It is indeed very heartening to see parents recognizethe need to equip children at early ages to face the rigors’ of competition both in school and later in real life,” she added.

Dinesh Victor, Managing Director, SIP Academy India stated that greater participation was being witnessed year after year in these competitions.

“Creativity is a critical tool for success in today’s world. And the Globalart programme which nurtures children’s creativity using drawing and colouring has been very well received by both the children as well as their parents. With creativity honed in the early stages of life, these children who are the citizens of tomorrow will be better equipped to find innovative solutions to various complex issues in a highly competitive world,” he said.
