Noble Foundation, a Charitable trust of Noble Business Ventures recently arranged the ‘Women of Impact Awards’ honoring the Visionary Women of Coimbatore who excelled in their respective fields, dedicating themselves to service of society.
The Women of Impact Award for Agriculture & Service was presented to Shantha Ramasamy, the Chief Executive Officer of Sreevatsa Organic Farm Products, Innovation and Service Award to Hemalatha Annamalai, the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Ampere Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, Education & Service Award to the Founder of Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy Deepa Mohanraj, Special Achievement Award to Meenakshi Sai, Overland Traveler, Life Time Achievement Award to SITRA Indra Doraisamy and Change Makers Awards to Voice of Animals Nivedya Pankaj & Artist Jitha Karthikeyan.
On receiving the award Shantha Ramasamy said the she would dedicate her award to the farmers who do organic farming. “I’m not from any agricultural family. Though we started agriculture in 1992, till the year 1999 we had done farming using only chemical fertilizers. It was only later, after meeting a Swamiji that we had begun doing Organic Farming in real earnest,” she recalled.
“This award should truly go to the countless people who are working in our factory who were involved in it,” said Hemalatha Annamalai, who has plans to establish an all-women factory to manufacture electric cycles for affordable mobility in the future.
“The more we start to give, the more we start to feel good,” said Deepa Mohanraj receiving the Women of Impact Award for her service in transforming & empowering Children with Special Needs. She said that it all started from her own child who herself was a special child.
“When I kept worrying about my younger daughter who is a special child, it was my elder daughter, just 4-years old that time, who said “amma, she is perfectly alright, you don’t worry.” It was these words that made a big impact on me laying the foundation for the special school,” said Deepa Mohanraj.
Dr. C.A.Vasuki, Secretary of Kongunadu Arts and Science College and Saraswathi Khannaiyan, Secretary of Hindusthan Educational Institutions was the Guests of Honor. Uma Maheshwary of FLO Coimbatore Chapter was the Chief Guest.
Vanathi Srinivasan, Tamil Nadu General Secretary of Bharathiya Janata Party and Vinoda Swami, Zonal Secretary of ISKCON Holiness Bhakti were also present.
