49-year old Sri Lankan Cricketer Muthiah Muralidaran got admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai to undergo cardiac treatment on Sunday.He is in India to give his coaching expertise to the Sunrises Hyderabad team in Chennai for the 14th IPL season.
On Monday, the hospital, in a press release, conveyed that the cricketer underwent successful coronary angioplasty with stents on Sunday under the care of Dr.G.Sengottuvelu, Senior Interventional Cardiologist, Apollo Hospitals.
The hospital mentioned that Muthiah will be discharged from the hospital today and would resume his normal activities.
