Dot Theatre’s Baksa – Action speaks louder than Words !

Baksa, a unique play from Dot Theatre, a Coimbatore based creative services and arts management organization, was staged at Vidhya Niketan CBSE School on Saturday evening.

The Amphitheater of the school was filled with an excited crowd full of fans, families and friends to witness the play.

The play is unique because it has no verbal dialogues. True to the saying ‘action speaks louder than words’, the play has just two characters who are introduced one after the other in a world that is alien to them at first.

They are trapped in a world where there is no escape, and they learn about what is around them one after the other, by making mistakes. As the two characters meet, a fun-filled friendship slowly blossoms, only to be taken away by greed to take over the things they had shared.

A philosophic tone is present in the play that is given charm by the actors’ performance, and excellent stage set up. The play is penned by Amrith Jayan, an alumnus of Vidhya Niketan. Several alumni of the school played a prominent role in the success of this play.

Chief Guest of the day, Actor and Moviebuff  Bosskey appreciated the play for its novelty and said that this play has a universal appeal, and is going to set a trend in future.
