TNAU’s Renovated Botanical Garden looks Ravishing

The 113 year old Botanical Garden located near TamilNadu Agriculture University recently got renovated and was opened for public’s visit on Monday (March 1, 2021)

B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan did the inauguration in the presence of N.Kumar, VC, TNAU.

A souce shared that the garden features different types of trees from all over India. Different kinds of rare trees, flowering aquatic plants, flushing meadows, bamboo groove, fountains all are new here.

All the trees one can find here will bear a QR code tag. Once scanned, it will reveal the trees’ details.

The botanical garden also has special play areas for children. Also, restroom facilities, drinking water facilities, CCTV cam security facilities are made available.

The Botanical Garden will function in 2 shifts- from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The entry fee is Rs.50 per person. For usage of digital camera , Rs
50 should be paid. Children under 12 years of age are exempted from entry fee
