World Disability Day is observed on December 3 every year. Coimbatore Metropolitan Ladies Circle 23, through the campaign ‘Six Yards of Happiness’ made the day of some differently-abled women in the city a joyful one.
The club donated sarees to the women, and in order to uplift the spirits of these brave women, partnered with Green Trends Unisex Hair & Style Salon, IAB, 3monks creative studio and Cheshire homes to give them a makeover, portfolio shoot and video.
A press release said that the campaign hopes to encourage people to see past the disabilities and recognize the strength and grit these women display on all facets of their lives.
Hairstylists and makeup artists brightened the women’s faces and gave them a nice hairdo. The photographers and videographers captured that beautiful moment with their lenses and magnified the happiness to them with the captured shots.
