Colleges to reopen for final year classes on Dec 7!

The Tamil Nadu Government on Monday announced the reopening of classes for final year college students.

Sources reported the Govt has issued a notification in which it mentioned that all final year Under Graduate Classes of Arts, Science, Technical, Engineering & Agriculture, Under Graduate courses will resume from 7th of December With standard operation procedures.  First year UG Medical classes will begin from December 1 with hostel facilities. All medical and medical related courses (both UG and PG) will begin from 7th of December.

Meanwhile, it must be noted that the govt has extended the lockdown till December 31, 2020 due to the prevailing pandemic crisis, at the same time has announced lots of relaxation.

The notification from the Govt also states that tourist spots will be granted permission to function. Exhibition halls are allowed to function but limited to hosting business related programs after adhering to the standard operating-procedures. “Domestic and international air traffic routes permitted by the Union Home Ministry alone would be allowed.”

Swimming pools can reopen but only for sports training purposes. The fresh relaxations would not be allowed in COVID-19 containment zones across the State.
