Every year on November 19, International Men’s Day is celebrated for two major causes – to create awareness about men’s health and to promote gender equality. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Better health for men and boys.”
The day is also celebrated to honor the men who are making positive changes in society while raising awareness for issues faced by gender.
Though we have read, heard and seen that some men around the world turn into tyrannical leaders, corporate monsters, sexual predators and what not, we also have men of character and vision in this same society who are trying hard to keep the women, children and their fellow men safe by taking up the role of doctors, police men, teachers, leaders, entrepreneurs, mentors and most importantly they play the role of responsible husbands, sons and brothers to make the world a better place for all.
