A.R.Rahman to launch ‘7up thamizh naattin kural’ voice hunt  

 

 7 Lucky Voices from Tamil Nadu will perform Live on Stage with A.R Rahman

 Popular beverage brand, 7Up, has joined hands with renowned music maestro, A.R.Rahman, to launch ‘7Up Tamizh Naattin Kural’– a state-wide voice hunt. In what promises to be a celebration of the spirit and vibrant talent of Tamil Nadu, ‘7Up Tamizh Naattin Kural’is inviting entries from across the state, with a chance to be one of 7 lucky voices to sing with A.R Rahman on stage.

The 7Up mobile recording studios will be visiting colleges and popular locations across Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Erode, Madurai, Vellore, Kanchipuram, Nagarcoil, Salem, Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchirappalli, Tripur, Tirunelveli, Thoothukkudiand Karaikudi.

Participants will also be able to submit their entries by calling toll-free number 18001200077, and recording his/ her voice.

In addition, from 19th November 2017, a specially crafted 7Up mobile recording studios started visiting over 200 locations across 15 top cities in the state, giving people a chance to record their entries in the 7Up studio.

Speaking at the announcement, A.R Rahman said, “Wherever in the world I go, I remain at heart, a proud Tamilian. This land has been an integral part of my musical journey, and I am delighted to partner with 7Up Thamizh Naattin Kural to celebrate the spirit of this land. Whenever I discover a new melody or a new beat, I feel a special thrill. I feel equally excited now as I look forward to hearing the unique talent that resides on this land and to finding seven new voices to sing with me on stage at my next concert in Chennai,” he said.

The top 20 contestants shortlisted from all the entries received, will be invited to Chennai to perform in front of a jury panel. The 7 best singers will be selected from this audition and will train with Rahman’s team. They will then perform on stage at a live concert to be held in Chennai in January 2018 to mark 25 years of A.R Rahman’s timeless music. One lucky winner among the seven finalists will also be awarded a one-year scholarship at AR Rahman’s globally renowned KM Music Conservatory.
