Rotary Club of Coimbatore Green City and Rotaract Club of Personiv collaborated to empower several schools and orphanages in an around Coimbatore with fully functional computer labs, recently.
At a massive cost of Rs. 40 lakhs, these computer-lab facilities that also includes a total of 240 computers were provided for the benefit of students in schools and those residing in orphanages. This project was supported by Thryve (USA) and Personiv, Coimbatore.
With the need for computers in education increasing to great heights, these computer labs are set to open to the students, wonderful opportunities to learn, help them break barriers and get the most out of their school education.
Numerous students are set to be benefitted from these computer labs over the next few years. Along with Coimbatore Green City Rotarians and Personiv Rotaractors, Rotary International District 3201 Zone1’s Director, Rtn.R.S.Maruti and Assistant Governor Rtn. Muthukumar Shanmugam participated in the inaugural of the labs.
