Concept note of ‘FOR SPACE’

The time has come for humans to evaluate themselves. For generations humans have been abusing nature in the name of modernization and in total denial caused to nature brushing issues aside thinking somebody else would take charge for the future. The ecological balance has been disturbed and we are seeing disharmony in creation. Doom is looming large over civilization and nature. Man’s insatiable thirst and greed for material things are endangering nature and humans too.

About Artist NIJESH MOHAN & his Concept note

He was born in Thrissur, In 1981. He is a self taught artist and has exhibited in group shows in Coimbatore, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore. He is a keen observer of nature and this reflects in his work. His uninhibited use of colour produces contemporary realities in a surreal composition. His emotions are shaped by events that  affect human kind on an individual or global level and these are the source of his ispiration.

The human mind is like a universe in itself. It’s depths and the emotions that run through it’s vastness intrigues in away that rushes through me and flows out in colours splattered on these canvases. words that escape being inked, they dip themselves in hues that speak my eyes and my soul as I depict people lost in thoughts.

One of the greatest keys to human relationships is transparency of emotions. Transparency of emotional exchanges between persons are looked by certain “pass-codes” hidden among themselves. A positive and happy human mind is like a gateway which does not allow any negative emotion/thought to enter it’s arena. But there are times when the aura of the mind is weekend and these emotion/thoughts trespass these gates and gets stored inside like a trapped energy. It is a constant endeavour of us humans, in our attempt to self heal and create new “pass-code” for ourselves to prevent being chained by these unwanted trapped emotions. These “pass-code” truly protects the dual personalities hidden among each persons.

The hues dancing in strokes attempt to depict these gateways and pass-codes to unravel the mysteries that are trapped beyond our naked eye.

The physical space which is clean and uncluttered brings harmony to life, to think and to contemplate is it necessary to accommodate the space with the clutter of human Inclusion and emotions.
