Graduation Day at Sri Ramakrishna College

Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women celebrated its 23nd Graduation Day at SNR Kalai arangam today (21.8.17).

Dr.K.Chitra, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women welcomed the gathering by mentioning the immense growth and glory of the institution during the past 26 years. R.Vijayakumhar, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust presided over the function. In his presidential address, he congratulated the faculty, graduates and their parents for the untiring efforts given by them and wished them to do their best in life and to lead their future by not worrying about the past by narrating a story of a monk. He insisted all the graduates to join in the alumni association and to always be a part of their almamater.

Fourteen rank holders from Bharathiar University of various disciplines were honoured by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr.B.Vanitha, Registrar i/c, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Of which R. Khousika Raajshree of M.Sc. (Bio-chemistry) and M.Keerthana of B.Sc. (Bio-chemistry)were honoured with gold medals for securing first rank in the University examinations. Dr. E. Balagurusamy , Former Vice-Chancellor, Anna University has instigated an a gold medal for the student securing a university rank from Bachelor of Computer Applications

and  this award was given to C. Radhika of  B.C.A.

Chief Guest Dr.B.Vanitha, Registrar i/c,Bharathiar University delivered the graduation day address and conferred the degrees to a total number of 525 graduates of which 452 were under graduates and 73 post graduate studentsof various disciplines and congratulated them on their success. In heraddress,she appreciatedthe institution for their team efforts in training the students to face this competitive world. She mentioned the 3 P’s – Preparedness, Passion and Purpose which is mostimportant to become a successful person in life. She motivated the graduates to be generous and also to show their gratitude to the institution, parents and the society.

Executive Officer of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, C.V.Ram Kumar, Dr.A.Ebenezer Jayakumar, Director (Academics), Principals of the SNR Sons Charitable Trust institutions, Public Relations Officer, Placement Director, Faculty members and parents participated in the ceremony.

“Plant a sapling; Make a Difference” was the theme of this 23rd Graduation Ceremony. As part of thesocial responsibility initiative in enhancing the green cover of our Mother Earth, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science College for Women distributed tree saplings to all the graduates. They were requested to plant, nurture them and witness their growth thereby contributing in small way in saving the environment for the future..
