Rotary Club of Coimbatore Heritage has been conducting Rotary Heritage Cricket League (RHCL) for the last two years. The RHCL tournament was one such event which was held for a public cause. The funds raised from the competition will be used for providing clean drinking water in public schools, basic sanitation and healthcare, and for the advancement of women.
The 3rd season of this tournament was conducted this year at Diamond City ground. 15 teams representing various organizations from Coimbatore and Tirupur took part in this tournament which was held on February 8th and 9th.The First prize of Rs 75,000 was won by Eastman Exports. Steps Sourcing won the second place and was awarded Rs 50,000. The third place was won by Gango Garments and took home Rs 25,000. Sulthan Company came fourth and won Rs 15,000.
The Man of the Series award went to Sakthi from Eastman Exports. Shivalingam of Steps sourcing team was selected as the best batsman. The best bowler award went to Siva from Steps Sourcing. Eastman’s Arunraj won the Man of the Match award. Rotary District DGN S. Rajasekhar distributed the awards. The tournament was sponsored by S.S. Marble.
