The College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences held its Lamp Lighting ceremony for its first year students on 24.1.2020. Dr.Sonia Das, Principal, KG College of Nursing was the Chief Guest and the program was presided over by D.Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust.
In his address to the aspiring Nurses of the institution, D.Lakshminarayanaswamy said that the little acts of kindness like a smile or a pat on the patient’s shoulder by the nurses could give the sick rays of hope. He said constant attention from the nurses is as important as the attention a surgeon gives to the patients. He suggested them to never stop learning.
The Chief Guest said Nursing profession is a mixture of Science and Art and it is not as easy as it looks. “Nurses should be devoted and work hard”.
