The new office bearers of THGOA (Tamizhaga Hire Goods Owners’ Association) – S.Palanisami, State President; D.Manimaran, State Secretary; S.Balraj, State Treasurer; Thanjai R Siva, Joint Secretary recently took charge of their posts. A felicitation Ceremony for them was held along with the association’s Annual Meeting was held in the city.
A press release said that the association has renters who provide cooking vessel, sound systems, Generator, stage decorators, function decorators on contract basis as its members. Thousands of them participated in the meeting. Resolutions and demand during the meeting – when taking the goods like sound systems, decorating materials, generators, and other materials, Police should allow and permit two persons to travel in the hire-goods vehicle. A demand to decrease and bring down the GST from 18% to 5% for the THGOA workers was also made.
