FAST stands for Face, Arms, Speech and Time. When time is delayed in treating stroke properly it could affect the patient’s Face, Arms and Speech, and even lead to disability.
To provide support to the needy patients who would require support in getting treatment from a quality stroke-ready hospital, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Aakruthi announced Project FAST in the presence of Rtn.Madhav Chandran, District Governor, Rotary District International 3201 at a event held in Hash 6 Hotel, Coimbatore, recently.
Rtn.Angayarkanni, President, Aakruthi and club member and PR Manager of GKNMH, Bhanu Rao and other members were present in the program.
Dr.Rasmiranjan Padhi, Consultant, Interventional Radiologist, G.Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital spoke about the importance of time and fast response at the announcement.
