Independence Day was celebrated at The Western Ghats International School. Correspondent Hemalatha Sashi Kumaar presided over the function. Trishika Negi of Grade VI welcomed the gathering.
Correspondent hoisted the National Flag and several patriotic songs were sung by the students of four Houses – Agni, Brahmos, Prithvi, Trishul and prizes were distributed.
Students of Grade VI – Kavyashree, Nivedhaa, Samiksha and Shajan Farhan presented inspiring speech on the importance of Independence Day. School Marshal Ms. Roshini Benazeer administered pledge to all the students.
Montessori children participated in this patriotic event through Fancy Dress competition as freedom fighters and national leaders. An exclusive Quiz on ‘Incredible India’ was conducted for the students. Nearly 300 Montessori Children wore white dress with national flag and sweets were distributed. Lakshya of Grade VIII delivered vote of thanks.
