A lecture on Cancer Metastasis

Government of India promotes the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) and is likely to conduct a session on ‘Cancer Metastasis: – Biology, Research and Treatments’ in the Department of Biotechnology, PSG College of Technology from 21-26 August 2017. It’s an initiative by the government of India in Higher Education that aims at tapping the talent pool of scientists and entrepreneurs, internationally to encourage their engagement with the institutes of Higher Education in India so as to augment the country’s existing academic resources, accelerate the pace of quality reform, and elevate India’s scientific and technological capacity to global excellence.

As part of this initiative Dr. John Price from Victoria University Australia is visiting the, Department of Biotechnology, PSG College of Technology Coimbatore. He is a senior lecturer and research group leader at the Centre for Chronic Disease, College of Health and Biomedicine He also holds an adjunct Associate Professorship at Monash University within the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He is also an expert in experimental models of metastasis and the identification of novel therapeutic targets and their targeting, especially in relation to breast cancer and bone metastasis.
