Hugz, a first of its kind app in India was launched recently in Coimbatore. Users can use the app and send real life treats / gifts to their friends, family and colleagues. Hugz is as a kindness app through which people can show kindness by saying thank you, sorry or I miss you. Along with the message they can attach a treat. As a company Hugz wishes to be kind as well so they have chosen to donate 1% of their revenue to ‘Make my wish’ for Critically ill Children.
Hugz can be expanded to pretty much to any situation where a person want to appreciate somebody or wish someone for their special occasion. Companies in Coimbatore can automate gifting their employees using hugz for their birthdays, festive occasions like Diwali, New Year etc. The HR / Admin departments can schedule gifts to the respective employees for the occasions wherein employees will get these gifts via emails or SMS using which they can go to the respective partner outlets to redeem the gifts at a time and day of their choice.
L Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons Charities launched the app. PSG Institute of Management is the Knowledge Partner for Hugz where in the Marketing Students would be involved in promoting this app across various social media channels and other on field activities over the next two months.
