Indian Bank conducts consultation & ideation meet

Taking forward the agenda of Reforms in the Public Sector Banks, the Department of Financial Services of Indian Bank initiated a Multi-Level consultation process and ideation starting from the branch level. This consultative meeting had been proposed to generate innovative ideas and out of box thinking on various banking related issues so that the banking sector effectively participates in taking the nation to a $ 5 trillion economy.

Indian Bank’s Top Management has moved to various places in the country to have deliberations with branch managers. The bank has successfully conducted the meeting with the active participation of the branch managers.

On 18.8.2019, a meet was held in Erode Zone which was attended by  India Bank’s Erode Branch Managers. It had fruitful discussion ranging from the area specific issues affecting the growth of business of the branches, opportunities & growth potential available, requirements of the customers, improving digitalization etc and aligning with the local priorities & needs.

Detailed discussions were held on bank lending to MSME sector including under Sand-up India, Mudra loans, PSB loans @ 59mins etc. Similarly, bank finance to agri and SHG lending’s were also focused upon. Other areas like retail lending, digital transaction for both convenience and outreach were touched.
