Rathinam collaborates with Chennaiyin FC

Inaugurates Football Academy 

Rathinam International Public School (RIPS) on 27th June, 2019 inaugurated its football academy. The academy which is a collaborative effort of Chennaiyin FC and RIPS, will provide training to students from the ages of 6 to 15, to hone their football skills and give them an opportunity to participate in various football matches.

The Chief Guest of the event was Krishnadeep Menon, Chief Operating Officer, Chennaiyin FC . Other special invitees include Kali Alaudeen, Asst. Coach, Santhosh Trophy TN team, TN State Football Team Captain – 2016 and Asmath, Head Trainer, Chennaiyin FC (Coimbatore division).

The inauguration was attended by parents, staff and students of RIPS and KPM school. Around 50 students of RIPS have registered to undergo training under coaches of Chennaiyin FC.

Krishnadeep Menon spoke on the importance of promoting football on par with cricket, especially in Tamil Nadu. He also addressed the parents’ queries relating to the training to be imparted to students.

Azhagan, Executive Director, Rathinam Group of Institutions stressed on giving importance to sports in schools, for holistic development of children.
